Hello curious.
On this website, we aim to entertain by following the evolution of writing instruments since the 19th century, and especially one of them: The Fountain Pen.
As an object, it concentrates the capacity for inventiveness and artistic and intellectual expression of the Human Being.
But it is with its help that feelings, hopes, moods, and thoughts of all kinds come to the surface and are recorded for posterity.
Although we rely on a single private collection, we have gathered a number of pieces that allow us the proposed journey through time.
We have also collected, under the heading "Sources", books and websites from many, who with their effort and work, give us an invaluable knowledge of the past, for which they have all our recognition.
In the top bar, you will also find "Brands" where you can read about the life trajectories of all those Firms that have pieces on the website and exceed 300.
Also, "Milestones" will let you know what happened or who starred from the 9th century (900 AD) in something relevant to the world of writing, up to our days.
In "Accessories" you have a collection of various objects that have accompanied the act of writing in one way or another.
In "Posters", numerous advertising media from the 20th century of different Brands of Pens, pencils, and inks are presented to you.
In "Filling Systems" we aim to help the less experienced to ink well, and the experts to have it available for what may interest them.
Whenever possible, we have included videos from the Net, thanking their authors for the generosity of offering them with no other reward than for educational purposes. We have tried to systematize it within its context by providing related pieces and photographs.
You have the possibility to read us in several languages, even though this is written in Spanish, and the translations are provided by Google´s free service. We apologize for any mistakes that may occur because of this.
Just to add that our wish is for you to enjoy the final result as much as we have enjoyed creating it for you.
